Today I went with Dad to Zwolle. Since December 3rd an ice sculpture festival is taking place. With only one week left we had to go quickly. You notice the extreme cold when you enter the exhibition tent. The keep the temperature at -8C (17.5 F). The sculptures are very beautiful. The gneral theme is under the sea. With fair weather, no rain or strong winds, it is very pleasant to walk through Kampen. This Friday I brought a camera with me. When you walk along side the river IJssel you can take some beautiful pictures.
All year I kept a journal of the distances I walked or took the bike. A nice app on my Nokia, Sports-Tracker generates a map and track the distance and time. When I look at the numbers I’m a bit surprised. Never realized that I walked an ride my bike over these amount of kilometers.fstanden waren. This year my summer vacation will take me to England. Again with an organized bus tour, now Yorkshire and the Lake District is my destination. When I was young, James Herriot was on tv, it was set in Yorkshire. I always wanted to go to Yorkshire. It probably doesn’t look the same as on tv, but it must come real close these Yorkshire Dales. The Falcon Walk of the Dutch Army is being held today. A good opportunity to participate, I have to train many miles for Nijmegen.
